Kelleys Island

I walk to downtown

to get my golf cart from the Caddy Shack rentals. Electric golf cart not only helps the environment but also are less noisy then those golf cart power by gas.

10 AM

I start my way around

the island going east on Lakeshore Dr. After passing the Kelleys Island Ferry Boat you start seeing the beautiful houses and landscaping, of course a great view of the Lake Erie as well.

10: 30 AM

I took this rd all the way to then end where make an “S” to your left,  I keep going to find the sign that says: “Low flying aircraft…” we are at the airport. It is no body here so sometime you can see deer.

            I keep going all the way to end where you are going to find Camp Patmos here is a little light house, no a real one, but is fun just to take a picture.

Ok, now I am going back

to the next intersection to turn right.  After the next “S” stopped at the East Quarry State park. I walk some 20 yards and I found what it was a old quarry, today inactive, great place to take some cool pictures. 

    My next stop is the North Pond,

also a State Park Property. Here I found a board walk that takes me to what the locals call “the secret beach”, as the name implied is not that much people here. It is really nice.

I keep going by the high school

and turn right. After passing the Cemetery, I took some pictures of the ruins what it used to be a Winery on Kelleys Island. Keep in mind this is private property.

            Right after this you are going to find the State Park, keep going and you would see the Glacial Grooves, this is a must see place on Kelleys Island.

            Across the street is the

PUBLIC BEACH.

Ok, I am going to take Titus Rd.

this is one of the best road that I drove in my life. It is nothing-here just trees. You are going to remember this road.

            I drive by the West Bay Inn, great place to watch the sunset, so I will back. I keep going to my next stop at the

Kelleys Island Brewery.

I got a grilled chicken sandwich. When I was waiting for my order I tested their own beer, pretty good, my favorite Lake Erie Lager.

            I really like this place to relax overlooking the lake. Usually is not crowed for lunch witch make a really pleasant experience.

I am less than a mile

from downtown so I am going over there to check the stores. 

            My first stop is the Booga Wear. Booga has been here for over 10 year with thousands of followers, so I have to find out more about it.

    Many people buy those t-shirt to promoted that style of living. So bought one and I become a member of the

My next store is the

Flip Flop

where I met Annya from Kazakhstan and I get here my new riders

flip flops.

Now I am going for my desert

Ice cream at Dipper’s Dan,

but in my way there I stop at the Whacky Shack, just a fun place.

            At Dipper’s Dan I chose chocolate and strawberry.

I decided to visit Dockers located right on Portside Marina with excellent view of the yachts and the Lake Erie.

            Here I got apple martini and I test other ones. I saw on another table a nice appetizer called Skewered Veal Meatball Martini a really original idea.
